Program:
Day 1
Scheduled departures from the Milan, Bergamo, Verona, Venice and Trieste airports, depending on the arrival of the aircraft. We continue our tour by bus in the direction of Croatia, a short stop will be made in San Dorligo della Valle near Trieste, at the shrine of St. Joseph. Arriving in Pula in the evening hours, hotel accommodation with dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel, sightseeing of Pula, departure to the Brijuni National Park where we will have lunch followed by free time. In the afternoon sightseeing of Rovinj, Sveti Petar u Šumi, Vodnjan and Rijeka. Arrival in Zagreb in the evening hours, hotel accommodation with dinner.
Day 3
Breakfast. Departure from Zagreb to Marija Bistrica through the Nature Park Medvednica, visit to the Shrine of St. Mary of Bistrica and other sights. Lunch, free time. In the afternoon we will visit one of the thermal hot springs common for the region of Zagorje. Hotel accommodation with dinner.
Day 4
Breakfast, hotel checkout. A visit to Belec for a glimpse of one of the most beautiful Croatian baroque churches. We continue the journey through the beautiful Zagorje hills in the direction of Lepoglava, a town very important in Croatian history and in the life of the Croatian cardinal Blessed Aloysius Stepinac, it is also the home of Lepoglava lace, a special feature of Lepoglava and its surroundings, which is believed to have been introduced in Croatia by the Pauline Order. In the afternoon we shall visit Ludbreg which has been a popular place of pilgrimage for centuries. Ludbreg, known since antiquity as “the center of the world”, is home to the old Parish Church of the Most Holy Trinity and the new Shrine of the Most Precious Blood of Christ. In the evening we will visit the Croatian baroque city of Varaždin. Accommodation in a spa hotel with dinner.
Day 5
Breakfast, hotel check out. Departure for the city of Zagreb.
Short stops in Ivanić Grad, Vrbovec, Dugo Selo, Ščitarjevo, Velika Mlaka and the old town of Lukavec. Lunch and free time. In the afternoon hours sightseeing of the Zagreb upper town and its charms. Hotel accommodation with dinner.
Day 6
Breakfast. Sightseeing of the lower town of Zagreb, a panoramic drive through the city including Novi Zagreb (“New Zagreb”). Lunch, free time. In the afternoon hours a visit to the castle Lužnica near Zaprešić and sightseeing of the old town of Samobor. Accommodation at the hotel with dinner.
Day 7
Breakfast, hotel check out. Driving through the village of Brezovica, known for the monastery of the Carmelite Sisters and the baroque Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the direction of Krašograd, Jamnička kiselica, Kupinec, Zdenčina, Krasić. Lunch and free time. In the afternoon hours a visit to the city of Karlovac, besides visiting St. Joseph’s shrine we will visit the freshwater fish aquarium followed by a beautiful boat ride along the river. Accommodation at the hotel with dinner.
Day 8
Breakfast, hotel check out. Departure for Plitvice Lakes National Park. Lunch within the national park. In the late afternoon arrival in Udbina, visit to the Church of Croatian Martyrs. We continue our travel towards Zadar. Accommodation at the hotel with dinner.
Day 9
Breakfast, hotel check out. Morning sightseeing of the city of Zadar. Lunch and free time. In the afternoon sightseeing of the city of Nin. In the evening, accommodation at the hotel with dinner.
Day 10
Breakfast. Departure for the Krka National Park and Visovac. Lunch and free time. In the afternoon hours sightseeing of the city of Šibenik. Hotel accommodation with dinner.
Day 11
Breakfast. Sightseeing of the old city of Trogir. Lunch and free time. In the afternoon, a tour of the city of Split, followed by a visit to Sinj. Hotel accommodation with dinner.
Day 12
Breakfast, hotel check out. Visit to the Imotski lakes. Lunch and free time. We continue our journey in the direction of Međugorje. Arrival in Međugorje in the afternoon hours, a visit to Podbrdo Hill, the Marian apparition site. Evening spiritual program. Hotel accommodation with dinner.
Day 13
Breakfast, hotel check out. Departure for Križevac, Majčino selo and the Cenacolo Community. Lunch, free time. In the afternoon, a planned trip to Mostar or the Kravica Falls. We arrive at Neum in the evening. Hotel accommodation with dinner.
Day 14
Breakfast, hotel check out. A short drive to Dubrovnik. Sightseeing. Lunch. In the afternoon a visit to one of the islands near Dubrovnik. Hotel accommodation with dinner in Dubrovnik.
Day 15
Breakfast, hotel check out. Departure for the Dubrovnik Airport or a return trip by bus, depending on previously made arrangements.
